Instructions for Authors

The Pakistan Law Review is published by the Pakistan Center of Legal Research and Publication, once a year.

The acceptance of an article for publication depends on the quality of research, legal argument and the discretion of the editorial team.


Requirements

• Articles submitted for review must not be submitted to alternative publications or have been published elsewhere. For authors of published articles, only those who have obtained the permission of the journals carrying their publication, can make a submission for the Pakistan Law Review.
• The Pakistan Law Review is a journal of law which provides a multidisciplinary forum for the discussion of legal issues in Pakistan. Any articles submitted to the Pakistan Law Review must therefore, be premised on issues pertinent to Pakistan.
• As a matter of policy, the journal encourages the use of gender neutral language.
• Articles submitted must be submitted as a Microsoft Word Document.
• Articles must be accompanied by an abstract not exceeding 500 words.
• Articles must carry a bibliography.
• Articles must be in English (United Kingdom).
• Articles must be between 5000-14000 words in length.
• The Bluebook method of citation must be used to cite authorities.
• All authors are requested to style their articles using the style sheet and citation guide provided below.
• Articles must carry the complete name of the author(s) and their biographical information.
• Authors must be aware of and comply with the ethical guidelines for authors provided below.
